SAHARA YOJANA

The Sahara Yojna or the ‘Himachal Pradesh Sahara Yojnaa’ aims toward providing financial assistance to the strata of the destitute of the state, which suffer from serious physical ailments. These ailments include cancer, Liver Failure, Hemophilia, Muscular Dystrophy, Paralysis, Parkinson’s, and Thalassemia. Under the Sahara Yojna, the beneficiary will receive financial aid of Rs36000 annually in monthly payment installments.

Eligibility for Sahara Yojna –

The applicant should be a stable inhabitant of Himachal Pradesh.
The beneficiary must be a part of the EWS category.
The annual Income of the recipient mustn’t surpass Rs400000.
The applicant must provide documentation supporting his/her claim of suffering with illness he/she claims to be suffering with.

HOUSING SUBSIDY SCHEME

The Housing Subsidy Scheme(HSS) was envisioned by the welfare department of the Himachal Pradesh government and was put into action in 1975. Under the scheme, the destitute population of Backward Classes is provided with subsidy grants for the construction and reconstruction/renovation of Houses and for buying house sites for construction. The subsidy is catered by the state’s welfare department, rates of which are fixed now and again.

Eligibility for Housing Subsidy Scheme –

Applicant must be a permanent inhabitant of Himachal.
The perennial earnings of the applicant have to be less than Rs35000.
An eligible applicant must belong to any of the following categories:- Scheduled Caste, Particularly Disabled, Minority Class, Scheduled Tribes, and Widows.
The beneficiary must not benefit from similar housing subsidy schemes, either national or of any other state.
