BETI HAI ANMOL YOJANA
The ‘Beti Hai Anmol Yojana’ is a scheme of the Himachal Pradesh government that aims toward the upliftment of the girl child by providing financial assistance for education. This scheme works for the self-reliance and education of girls that belong to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. Commenced in 2010, the scheme safeguards the interests of the girl-child and aims toward bettering the sex ratio of the state.
Application Process for Beti Hai Anmol Yojana –
Online Method
- To apply for the ‘Beti Hai Anmol Yojana’ the applicant must visit the Official ‘Himachal E-district’ Website, https://edistrict.hp.gov.in/
- After visiting the home page, find the ‘Beti Hai Anmol Yojana’ tab and tap on it. You’ll be averted to Sign-up.
- After Signing up, you’ll see the Application form.
- Fill up the form.
- Attach all the obligatory documents with the form.
- To submit the form, you’ll have to make a payment. Following this, you’ll be averted to the payment segment.
- After being redirected to the payment section, pay the application fee (if appropriate in your case).
- Download the receipt of confirmation.
Offline Method
- Repeat the steps mentioned in the online method till you are presented with the application form.
- Print the form after downloading it.
- Fill up the application form
- Alongside the form, attach all the required documents, which are self-attested.
- Present the documents to the CDP officer of your area or the Anganwadi /Lok Mitra Kendra of your locality.
Eligibility for Application for Beti Hai Anmol Yojana –
- The applicant must be female and below the poverty line.
- Applicants, to be eligible for the scheme, should be permanent inhabitants of Himachal.
- From a single family that belongs to the BPL category, only a maximum of 2 girl children can avail of the scheme’s benefits.
- Applicants born after 5th July 2010 can avail of the welfare for studying till Class 12th.
- The beneficiary should not be married before the age of 18.
Required Documents for Beti Hai Anmol Yojana –
- A valid Himachali Certificate.
- Proof of belonging to the BPL category.
- Birth Certificate.
- Proof of Identity.
- If the applicant is studying, a letter from the Head Master of the School where the applicant studies.
SUKANYA SAMMRIDDHI YOJNA
The Sukanya Sammriddhi Yojna, or the SSY, is a scheme offered by the Central Government of India that intends to work in the direction of the betterment of the ‘Girl Child.’ The Scheme allows the parents of eligible girls to open a savings account for the long-term benefit of their child/children. The Savings Account under this scheme offers an attractive 7.6% interest rate. This account can be opened under the name of a girl child anytime before she reaches the age of 10. The Scheme also offers tax benefits on the deposits that are made into the SSY account. The aggregate of this account can be withdrawn when the girl reaches the age of 21 or when she gets married. However, withdrawals from this account can also be made earlier with minimal or no penalties.
How To Apply for The Scheme for Sukanya Sammriddhi Yojna –
The Sukanya Sammriddhi Yojna savings account can be opened in post offices and accredited bank branches.
- Visit an authorized bank branch/post office.
- Ask for the Sukanya Sammriddhi Yojna form.
- Fill out the form with the necessary details and attach the required documents(self-attested) with the form.
- Submit the form.
Eligibility for Sukanya Sammriddhi Yojna –
- Parents of a girl child not older than 10 can open the account.
- The parents/guardians of an eligible girl child of the scheme should be permanent inhabitants of India.
- From a single family, a maximum of 2 girl children can avail of the benefits of the scheme.
- The opening investment of the account can range anywhere from Rs 250 to Rs 150000
